 WORKSHOP Hello hello! Welcome to the ![[community profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/community.png){kind=small} brewsterassembly workshop! Because the game is highly reliant on character plots, movement, and relations, this post is here to allow all players to discuss their ideas for characters and carve out a place for them within the setting, as well as consider potential or pre-established CR. It’s brainstorming and matchmaking all in one! Please respond to the post using the below form; feel free to comment to others’ forms as well to hash things out! Name: Who are you? Contact: Your Plurk, Discord ID, Email, or even just a journal where you accept PMs. Any is fine! Character name: Who are you playing? Canon: AU or Jamjar?: Which option are you choosing for entry into the game? If you're playing a canon Nasuverse character as native to the setting, that is still AU, while pulling them in from their own canon is still jamjar. Master or Servant?: Class: If playing a Servant. Please keep the current distribution of Servant classes in mind when choosing! Uniformity in the standard classes, rarity in the extra classes. If you’re uncertain, you can also include potential classes you’d like to play this character in - remember, the greater majority of Heroic Spirits qualify for more than one class! Character blurb: A rundown of your character. This can be anything from their personality to background to likes and dislikes to the time they scraped their knee on the sidewalk so their butler flew into a rage and had the entire street torn up which led to a revolution in the neighborhood because people were growing tired of their roads being at the whims of the upper classes. Is your character from a prominent family of Magi? Are they on the run from Sealing Designation Enforcers or Executors or bounty hunters? Any information you provide us is something we can use to enhance the gameplay experience and your fellow players can use to workshop with you, so while you don't NEED to tell us every single thing, there's definitely no need to be shy! Character blurb:
- An obscure goddess based in a small town in rural Japan. She and her brother represent the seasonal cycle.
- Looks cute and delicate, has a very airy and relaxed disposition. Probably strikes as a 'little sister' type.
- Very patient, judgment-free and almost understanding. Friendly but also careful to maintain some distance, for most of the part.
- About 50-50 ratio of 'obfuscating stupidity' vs 'no she really is this weird and dumb'.
- Actually doesn't like to show negative emotion, so she compartmentalises and represses the bad feels whenever that comes up.
- She has complicated feelings about personhood and identity but she's fine, really.
- Has zero desire for the Grail, and is here due to being accidentally summoned. Making sure Sarnai survives the war is her highest priority in their Servant-Master relationship.
- Very, very fond of regular people's mundane lives and will spend as much time as she can masquerading as a normie herself.
- Loves her brother and really, really loves her boyfriend.
Requested characters or CR:
- People to befriend since she's assisting Sarnai with friendship terrorism.
- In relation to the above, hopefully friends who get close enough to see what she's like beyond the 'Kouran' persona?!
- People who act as older-sibling figures to her, possibly without knowing who she really is.
- Can also be a (flighty) big sister type herself to others, if you want a helpful (?) role model.
- Other nonhuman types, please let her observe how y'all handle life and living.
- Whatever other ideas you may have, hit me up!
Chin Henri

Character blurb: - Son of an illegal Chinese immigrant and a Japanese man, with his father flouncing off sometime before he was born.
- His father was also actually a magus, which technically makes him the illegitimate son of some magus family. He has no idea about this.
- Local to Fuyuki! Has only left the city a few times so far.
- His mom past away recently (about ~4 months ago) after a prolonged bout of illness.
- Has lived pretty much his entire life in a weird sort of legal limbo, since he's not technically a Japanese citizen.
- Currently lives with a family friend who is acting as his guardian and goes to middle school.
- Bullied in school because of having an illegal single mom and being relatively poor. Still being bullied, even.
- Would like you to believe he is absolutely a mature teenager who's Totally Got This. Spoilers: he don't got this.
- Tries very, very hard to be more mature than he actually is and only half-succeeds. He's responsible and surprisingly capable of keeping himself together (with a lot of internal screaming), buy also easily flustered, prideful even when he acts humble, and can get irrationally angry or upset over the dumb stuff. Prone to stubbornness out of pride or spite, sometimes over really petty shit.
- At heart is a good kid who really misses his mom and is trying not to think about his incredibly uncertain future that is looming over his head.
Requested characters or CR: I'd really like it if someone would play his current legal guardian! I don't have anything really defined about them other than they're busy with work a lot, knew at least his mom (and possibly both his parents) and they absolutely aren't really equipped to take care of a troubled teenager, no matter how well-meaning they may be. There's even the option of them actually being involved in supernatural shit, if you'd like to play that and make this whole situation even more hilariously terrible.
- Friends! Especially older sibling types or people around his age.
- Whatever else, come at me bro.
Olivier van Leeuwenhoek

Character blurb:
- Twin brother to the current head of the Leeuwenhoek family.
- Since said brother was determined as the future heir of the family pretty early on, Olivier was raised as a bodyguard and assassin for him.
- Followed his brother to Clock Tower as a student. Around this time his brother started trying to encourage actual independence in him for real.
- Was an Enforcer until a botched job gave him a serious injury.
- Has since then been living a quiet life in Fuyuki and runs a bakery cafe.
- And then the Grail War happens and he has to perform his (hopefully) final duty as a son and brother, despite however he may feel about it.
- Didn't really have a sense of self for a majority of his life, and has been slowly building an identity away from his family.
- But he's faking it til he makes it and it's sort of succeeded, at least.
- Quiet and relatively mild-mannered, if awkward. Very earnest, struggling to assert his own beliefs (or even figure out what his beliefs should be).
- Has grown into a pretty big nerd. He likes baking and tending to bonsai trees.
- Still an ex-bodyguard, ex-assassin and ex-Enforcer so has killed at least a few mans. He doesn't know how to feel about this now but he's still, in theory, capable of murder.
- Actually doesn't really like that his quiet life is being interrupted but a) he doesn't know how to meaningfully express this, b) he still cares about his brother and c) being raised as a loyal tool does shit to you, even if you're a little better now.
Requested characters or CR:
- His twin brother. He's the first and only person in the family to like, actually care about Olivier as a person and has conflicted feelings about the way they were raised. He also basically just asked him to risk his quiet life for the sake of the war because family. It's Complicated.
- A Servant. He'd personally prefer someone who'd be loyal and can listen to orders, but this is fucking fate/ we can make this hilariously terrible.
- Mages, especially Clock Tower mages who would know him and/or his brother. Anyone who knew him back then would probably notice he's pretty different now.
- Employees for his bakery cafe. Please help this man.
- People who talk to him or maybe even are something like friends.
- COME AT ME.
