Fuyuki is a city located in Kumamoto Prefecture. Its size is only middling, but it boasts a healthy sense of growth and expansion, with many thriving districts of various ages. Splitting it into two is the Mion River, which feeds into the Ariake Sea at the border; these two major districts are considered to be towns in their own right, called Shinto and Miyama.

Miyama Town is an older, primarily suburban area of Fuyuki which holds historical monuments, old houses, and traditional buildings. It’s further split into traditional and foreigner districts of housing - there are tons of old houses in the area in general, some of which are abandoned, some of which are considered to be haunted (especially in the foreigner district). But it has some other sights all its own:

Homurahara Academy is the local high school.

Mount Miyama is the shopping district in Miyama Town, fitted with a sizable market and several restaurants, food stalls, and stores.
Koushuuensaikan Taizan is the only Chinese restaurant in Miyama Town, renowned for its tongue-meltingly spicy dishes.
Edomaeya is a food stand that sells taiyaki for only 80 yen. The pricing makes it popular with students, even against the limited selection.
Singing Birds Retreat is an antique store.

Mount Enzou is a mountain located in the Miyama half of the city, notable mostly for its relation to the Ryuudou Temple on the outskirts of town: a Buddhist temple owned by the Ryuudou family of Fuyuki, it is located on top of a fallen leyline. Because of that, its magical significance can’t go undiscussed; due to its location in the heart of the city, it is the keystone of Fuyuki’s leylines, and an ideal place for performing any magecraft or magic. Surrounding it are a forest and lake, and there are rumors of a cavern underneath it being significant in some way, but…

Well, anyway, the comparative remoteness makes it pretty ideal as a temple.

By the bridge that connects Shinto and Miyama, there’s a park overlooking the river.

Shinto Town is the newer district of the city. It’s perpetually in development. Something is always being blocked off or worked on. Construction was progressing smoothly in the 90s, but following a certain fire at the time there were a few setbacks which led to expedition of the project. This choice has been criticized by some citizens as producing a final product with no individuality, but the town is packed around the holidays anyway.

Around its center are a bridge that connects both towns. Nearby there is the Center Building, the tallest structure in the city, and a Hyatt hotel. There’s also a park which, for whatever reason, is the only thing remaining in town that hasn’t been rebuilt since the fire. Rumor has it that the grudges of those that died there make it difficult for construction to move smoothly…

Anyway there’s also a library. Nearby, a more recent construction is the Fuyuki Museum of Natural History, which hosts exhibits of fossils, plants, animals, rocks, and human cultural artifacts. It's home to fifteen permanent exhibits, as well as many more that travel and rotate with the seasons. Currently advertised is their Art of Seating exhibit, providing a broad survey of over 500 years of chair design - from casual seating to formal situations to thrones.

The harbor is the end of the Mion river, and overlooks the Ariake Sea. The fishing industry is thriving.

The station is a train station. It goes to other parts of the prefecture and the island in general. Fuyuki likely does not have its own airport.

The Fuyuki Church is a Catholic church located on a hill in Shinto and is approximately an hour’s walk away from Miyama. It’s a notably old building for this part of the city, having been around since before World War II.

Regardless, being a newer part of town, there’s a solid selection of restaurants, bars, cafes, and stores of all varieties:
Copenhagen is a liquor store and pub.
Messiaen is a curry shop. Having traveled south from another city, it’s fairly popular, but can its spice stand up to the places in Miyama…?
Imperial Metropolis is another import - a grilled beef restaurant with notoriously low prices - that make it popular with students and other youngsters - and a secret all-you-can-meat menu. Only the strong may survive. The rankings are updated monthly!
Verde is the biggest shopping center in the city, with a highly regarded tea shop and a stuffed animal store. It's a mall.
Shinto Town is also home to Fuyuki City's sole Denny's.
Nestled in among these shopping centers is the Brewster Assembly Fuyuki Branch Office, with its innocuous storefront.

For the more visually inclined, much of the information above is contained in this city map, but the general rule of thumb is that older buildings are in Miyama while more recent constructions are in Shinto. Beyond that, let your heart be your guide! There are various establishments all throughout the city to cater to any number of needs. The sky's the limit.

Incidentally, if you happen to break anything or cause any property damage over the course of the game, please fill out the form below so everyone knows who to blame when they can't go to Denny's anymore.
